I have personally seen the high costs and inner workings of the health care system. My best friend was in a coma for 12 days and had brain surgery. My mom battled leukemia for 10 months and passed away in February of 2007. I know firsthand that our health care system is in dire need of change and am personally dedicated to working to bring about that change.
I am the Online Community Manager for Trusera. Previously, I was the content manager for the Qvisory Health blog. I live with my wife, dog, and two cats in Seattle, WA.

- I will complete a bicycle race, such as the Seattle to Portland if 5 other people do the same.
- I will divert more money to my savings account if 3 other people save with me.
- I will research more about FSA plans if 5 other people do the same.
- I will make a real effort to balance my work and personal lives if 5 other people do the same.
- I will check my 3 credit reports one a year (equally spaced apart individually) if 3 other people do the same.
- I will Work out at least 3 days a week if 5 other people do the same.
- I will buy mostly organic at the grocery store if 10 other people do the same.
- I will spend less money on take out if 10 other people also spend less.
- I will tell others about Qvisory and the issues they address if 2 other people do the same.

How Can Chiropractic Care Help Me?,
04/12/08
I have only been to one chiropractor. He used the same method as your second chiropractor. It was a very holistic approach and did not feel invasive. He told me the gun-like device was to stimulate a response and realign my spine. It seemed to help. Out of curiosity, which method did you prefer? Maybe Channing has something to add to help explain the holistic method in more detail. -

Is the Digital Age Taking a Toll on Your Health?,

Thanks for sharing Piper. You're absolutely correct about time flying by while on the computer. I glance at the clock and am usually astounded at what time it is. I agree with you that we have forgotten how to relax. We're always on the move and have problems taking time for ourselves. It's very difficult when we're connected to the world through a variety of means. I think I'll experiment and remove myself from technology for a day (turn off the cell and computer) and make myself unreachable. I really cannot remember the last day I wasn't online. Maybe I'll blog about it. Thanks again for sharing. -

Cell Phones Are Convenient, But Are They Safe?,

That's a good idea to use the speakerphone. I wish my new cell phone had a speakerphone. I'm using the Bluetube headset for planned long calls. -
