Where Our Money Comes From and Goes
Qvisory is a nonprofit organization. We run our website to help your bottom line, not to generate returns for corporate shareholders or investors. The money we receive from membership dues and the sale of products is used to fund our operations and our mission, which is to try to make things better for you, the members of the Qvisory community.
Qvisory received start-up grants from SEIU, the Rockefeller Foundation, and an individual donor. For the next few years, we will continue to seek grants until we become self-sufficient. Over time, membership sales will become our primary source of support.
In addition, a portion of our income comes from marketing fees or commissions on product sales. For our health insurance offering, we are paid a per application referral fee. We do not plan to sell advertising on our site.
We will regularly disclose marketing fees or commissions we receive and funding from organizations or corporations, and will post annual financial updates showing how our money is spent. We will honor requests from individual donors who wish to remain anonymous.
