Respect the Qvisory Community
Qvisory’s Tools for Life Blog, Pacts Feature, Advocacy Petitions, Polls, Surveys, and Feedback systems provide forums for exchanges and discussion of information, ideas and opinions. Although users will not always agree, all users should treat one another with respect and expect to be treated respectfully while engaging in Qvisory’s interactive features and throughout all of the Qvisory Website.
Qvisory is for the Community
Remember that this is your community. The success of the site and of Qvisory’s mission depends on your involvement and contributions. Each and every user of Qvisory makes the site what it is, so we encourage you to participate and get involved.
- Have fun on the site. There are a lot of important issues being discussed, and experiences being shared. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Our hope is that we can all enjoy the process of learning and supporting each other in reaching our goals.
- Tell others what you think. User participation is an important part of the site, and a great way to both seek advice and enable others to learn from your experiences and knowledge. So share your stories, thoughts, responses, criticisms, and suggestions by posting a comment.
- Join with others to reach your goals. Make a Pact to help you achieve a goal, and invite others to join you in reaching it. You’ll have support from others who want to see you succeed, while creating a mini-community of people who also are also working to make the same life changes that you are.
- Participate in and comment on advocacy actions. By joining together, the members of the Qvisory community can combine their voices into a powerful voice for change. Participate in our advocacy campaigns, and tell us what issues you want the community to take action on.
Observe Community Norms
Here are some common-sense rules that will help you steer clear of trouble:
- Respect copyright. Only post Comments that are your own or that you have obtained the rights to use.
- We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech that contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes or discrimination intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality.
- There is zero tolerance for predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, the revealing of other members' personal information, or defamatory remarks. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from Qvisory.
- Qvisory is not to be used to post sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene material.
Please take these rules seriously and respect your fellow community members. Violations of these Guidelines or the Terms of Service may result in a warning notification or termination of your account.
