Why We Chose EUREKA

Qvisory has selected three products to help you with your money, work, and health needs. All three are included as benefits when you purchase a $36 annual Qvisory membership. EUREKA is the job research and career planning tool that we selected to be our product benefit in the “work” category.

There are several free job search sites on the web. Many are pretty much identical in their features, content, and tools. The business models of these sites include both advertising revenue and fees for special services beyond the basic offerings. While valuable, these sites are not unique, and the proliferation of advertising is not only counter to Qvisory’s mission but also creates a very messy and annoying user experience.

Since free job search sites are readily available, we wanted to find a tool that would add additional value to the process of identifying the job that is right for you. We chose EUREKA as our Qvisory membership product offering in the “work” area due to its valuable and unique assessment tools which allow you to explore your interests and skills and match them to potential careers. Also, our market research showed that the ability to compare salaries for specific positions in different geographic locations was of great interest to our audience, and EUREKA offers that service.

If you’re thinking about going back to school, EUREKA offers a college and university guide, along with information on scholarships and financial aid.

Finally, we liked the site’s content, which includes advice on resume-writing, job interviewing, and salary negotiation – all free of advertising.

If you have used EUREKA, let us know how it worked for you! To read about the other products that are benefits of Qvisory membership, see Why We Chose YNAB and MyEsafeDepositBox.

After many years of being an Internet entrepreneur, I am happily enjoying life as a consultant and working on such worthwhile projects as Qvisory. As a mom with two children -- one a college senior and the other a college graduate in the workforce -- I am both happy and proud to be part of a community that seeks to address the very different challenges of today's younger generations.
