Additional Uses for MyEsafeDepositBox
Buying a home
For those of you who are homeowners, I’m sure you’re familiar with the massive amount of paperwork and documentation required to secure a loan for a mortgage and sign an agreement on a house. I was being asked for my old W-2s, bank statements, business contracts, and more. Luckily, I had decided a while ago to start storing all of my important documents online in my MESDB account.
I was able to download and email (or fax) all of the necessary documentation to my mortgage broker and realtor. It made the whole process much easier and more enjoyable.
There is also a lot of paperwork generated throughout the process. I was constantly being asked for a fax number, as I am buying a house in an area I do not currently live in. I was able to share my MESDB lifeline (fax number) with everyone who asked for it (realtor, mortgage broker, and home inspector).
I have created a new folder in my MESDB account specifically for documents related to the house I am purchasing. I have been filing all pertinent information in one place. I love the convenience of being able to access my documents from anywhere.
For your pets
I have also been using my account as a way to quickly receive information on my pets. One of my cats had some tests done to determine if his heart murmur would prevent him from being anesthetized for upcoming dental work. First, I had his health records faxed to me from my previous veterinarian on the East Coast. Then, rather than having the cardiologist fax his records to a veterinarian, I had him fax the records to my MESDB account. I was able to take ownership of the records and send them to all the people who needed to see them. I faxed them to my veterinarian and the clinic that will be extracting some of his teeth.
Take control of your records
I highly recommend taking control of your records by storing them in a secure online environment. I have realized the convenience and security it provides me. Rather than waiting for documents to arrive in the mail, I have simply had them faxed to my MESDB lifeline. Doing so has cut back on delays and removed some of the stress from my life.

I have personally seen the high costs and inner workings of the health care system. My best friend was in a coma for 12 days and had brain surgery. My mom battled leukemia for 10 months and passed away in February of 2007. I know firsthand that our health care system is in dire need of change and am personally dedicated to working to bring about that change.
